Help Kelly and Family Through Cancer Battle
Story
Help support Kelly’s battle with breast cancer
Our family is walking through an incredibly difficult season, and we’re asking for your help.
As many of you already know, my son Daniel and his wife Kelly have been married now just under two years. They just recently had their first precious baby girl. She was born at the end of March. She has been a true blessing to them, and we are so thankful for her. God says a cheerful heart brings healing to the bones, and she has truly brought so much happiness! A couple of weeks before Kelly was due to have their precious little girl, they received unwanted news that Kelly was diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctors have stated that it is an aggressive type of cancer, but very successfully treated with chemo. As most of us know, chemo is very hard on the body and the road ahead is long, painful, and costly.
We have been continually praying for healing and while the cancer has not gone away yet, we are praising God the tumor has not been growing or spreading. She is supposed to be starting chemo within the next couple of weeks. As everyone can guess, the financial part of this with all of the medical bills, etc., has been outrageous even with insurance. This of course was totally unexpected and something a young couple, as well as most of us, would not be prepared for. Our hearts are so heavy for them! There will be a lot of changes happening within the next couple of weeks for their precious little family. Praise the Lord that God was not surprised by this, and we know He will provide all that is needed. There have been a lot of big decisions they’ve had to make within a very short time, as well as more to come. We are trusting that God will lead and provide in every way. Daniel and Kelly have been doing everything they can to stay strong and face this challenge together. Kelly’s doctors have advised that she should not return to teaching until she has completed chemotherapy and surgery—making the financial burden even heavier.
How You Can Help
We would ask that you pray and consider helping them during this time.
If you are not able to help financially, we would love for you to join us in praying for God’s healing hand to touch and heal Kelly! Pray also for Daniel as he cares for her and their precious little blessing that the Lord has given them. God is faithful and He is good!
We know this diagnosis didn’t surprise God, and we are trusting Him to provide every step of the way. Thank you for standing with us in love, prayer, and support during this time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Keith and Valerie Lacy
